Towards a Resilient and Sustainable Toronto
What type of Toronto do we want? And are we willing to do the work to get it? Requests for funding from federal and provincial partners, while necessary and essential due to the nature of the impact (i.e. the pandemic, emergencies), is not a sustainable way to run the city. Funding from both sources are not stable or predictable and usually comes with strings attached. So, how do we build a self-sustaining and resilient city?
Housing is a Human Right
As mayor, I will prioritize housing by accelerating approvals, implementing zoning reforms, and supporting recommendations to create an inclusive and affordable Toronto for all.
Mental Wellness: An integral part of Safe and Secure Spaces
Mental wellness is crucial for safe and secure spaces, and addressing it requires short-term strategies like crisis call diversion and long-term strategies like expanding non-police response alternatives and accessible mental health services across Toronto.

As a published author with a background in coaching, public speaking, and advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion, I have spent my career empowering individuals and organizations to achieve their full potential. As a former Member of Parliament, I have extensive experience advocating for my constituents and working collaboratively across party lines to advance important issues. I am excited to bring my unique perspective and leadership style to the Mayor's office and to work together with Torontonians to create a city that is more vibrant, inclusive, sustainable and rooted in love.
